Complete U.2/U.3 NVMe Solution – Ready to Use

This is a complete 2-piece adapter kit for connecting enterprise U.2 or U.3 NVMe SSDs to standard PCIe slots. Unlike other listings that only include the adapter card, this kit includes both the PCIe adapter AND the valuable 50cm Oculink to U.2 cable (worth £30+ when purchased separately).

📦 Complete Kit Includes:

✅ PCIe 3.0 x4 adapter card with Oculink SFF-8612 connector
✅ 50cm Oculink SFF-8611 to U.2 SFF-8639 cable (£30+ value)
✅ Full-height PCIe bracket (pre-installed)
✅ Low-profile PCIe bracket
✅ User manual

Everything you need to connect your U.2/U.3 SSD – no additional purchases required!

Key Features

✅ U.2 & U.3 Compatible

Works with both U.2 and U.3 NVMe SSDs. U.3 drives operate in NVMe mode (backward compatible). Both use the same SFF-8639 connector.

✅ Cable-Based Flexibility

50cm cable allows you to position your U.2/U.3 SSD in a 2.5″ drive bay for better cooling, away from the hot PCIe area. Perfect for dense builds.

✅ PCIe 3.0 Performance

PCIe 3.0 x4 interface provides up to 4000 MB/s bandwidth. Sufficient for most enterprise U.2 drives and legacy Optane SSDs.

✅ Wide Compatibility

Works in PCIe x4, x8, or x16 slots. Compatible with Windows, Linux, VMware ESXi. Supports Intel Optane, Samsung, Kioxia, Micron, and WD drives.

U.2 vs U.3 Compatibility

Drive Type	Compatibility	Mode
U.2 NVMe	✅ Full native support	NVMe over PCIe
U.3 NVMe	✅ Backward compatible	NVMe mode (auto-negotiates)
M.2 NVMe	❌ Not compatible	Different connector
SATA SSD	❌ Not compatible	Different protocol
