Description
Professional Quad NVMe Storage Expansion
The SUNWEIT ST560 is a professional-grade PCIe storage expansion card designed for users who require high-speed NVMe storage without the limitations of motherboard PCIe bifurcation.
Unlike passive quad M.2 adapters, which rely on BIOS support to split PCIe lanes, the ST560 incorporates the ASMedia ASM2824 PCIe switch. This intelligent PCIe switching architecture enables four independent NVMe SSDs to be installed while appearing as individual drives to the operating system.
No special BIOS configuration is required on supported systems.
Whether you’re building a high-capacity workstation, expanding a server, creating a fast software RAID array or increasing local storage for video editing, AI development or virtual machines, the ST560 provides a reliable and scalable solution.
Why Choose the ST560?
No Motherboard Bifurcation Required
The integrated ASM2824 PCIe switch manages PCIe lane allocation internally, allowing the card to operate on systems that do not support PCIe bifurcation.
This significantly improves compatibility compared to passive quad M.2 adapter cards.
Supports Four NVMe SSDs
Install up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs simultaneously.
Supports:
- 2230
- 2242
- 2260
- 2280
M-Key and B+M-Key NVMe SSDs using the PCIe protocol are supported.
High-Speed PCIe Gen3 Performance
Each installed SSD operates using a PCIe Gen3 x4 connection.
The ASM2824 provides an x8 PCIe Gen3 upstream connection, delivering excellent aggregate throughput for demanding storage applications.
Plug and Play
No drivers required.
Compatible operating systems automatically recognise the PCIe switch and connected NVMe drives.
Supported operating systems include:
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
- Windows Server
- Linux Kernel 3.17+
- VMware and other operating systems with native NVMe support
Ideal Applications
- Professional workstations
- Servers
- Virtualisation hosts
